Loughcrew elopement

Loughcrew Estate and gardens is a wonderful and unique part of Ireland, dating back to 17th and 19th Centuries. Megalithic Cairns can be found around the Slieve na Caillaigh hills. The building itself is both rustic and glamorous and Oliver Plunkett's church is a really different space to celebrate your wedding.

Oliver Plunkett Church

Jenn and Gary travelled all the way from Boston for their Elopement here. Garys surname is Plunkett and Jenn did some research and discovered this was one of the top 50 romantic places to get married, and so they planned their Irish elopement wedding.

The weather that week was questionable- but on the morning of their wedding the sun split the skies. They were both getting ready in seperate rooms in the Lodge house, another gorgeous Georgian style building in the estate.

Inside Loughcrew House

Gary was relaxing and Jenn was getting ready when I arrrived with Marina from Stylicious styling doing her hair and make up.

It was just the 4 of us there on that morning and it was really relaxed. Deborah from Loughcrew arrived to to check in and see how Jenn was getting on and Marina was helping Jenn put on all the finishing touches before Deborah took her to the Church.

Gary went there a bit early to get ready for her arrival.

In the Church Gary beamed as Jenn turned the corner and came through the archway.

Celebrant Yvonne spoke of how Jenn and Gary's professions in the emergency services had brought them together and they took part in a hand fasting ceremony with a braided lace plait in red white and blue to symbolise how they had met.

It was a beautiful intimate ceremony, and it was just Yvonne, Deborah and Myself present to witness it, which was really such an honour.

Afterwards we took a walk around the house and grounds and got some lovely images. Here is a glimpse at their special day.
